Photovoltaic technology converts sunlight directly into electricity. It works during daylight hours but more electricity is produced when the sunshine is more intense (a sunny day) and is striking the PV modules directly. Unlike solar systems for heating water, PV technology does not produce heat. Instead, PV produces electricity as a result of interaction of sunlight with semi-conductor materials in the PV cells.
The energy produced by solar photovoltaic system is fed into the grid and the customer gets paid for this under the Feed-in Tariff Scheme introduced on 1st of April 2010. The tariff is indexed linked and is guaranteed for 25 years. A typical 3.7KW system will yield an annual income of approximately £1615 in year one and up to £65,000 accumulative after 25 years. This is a tax free income with an average annual return of 6-8% of the initial investment.
1. Solar Photovoltaic system design and installation
We will take on board all aspects of the system design and installation, from feasibility study and planning considerations to design, product search and detailed projected annual yield and savings. Our large supplier data base will enable us to provide the right product for the application at a very competitive rate. All our products are MSC accredited. We are also a member of the REAL ASSURANCE scheme which will provide our customers with peace of mind.
2. LED lighting design and installation
LED or Light Emitting Diodes are an ideal replacement in lighting applications covering large areas. They provide equivalent lighting at a fraction of conventional lighting power consumption. They have a life time in excess of 35000 hours. Upto 85% saving in running costs can be achieved. With the equivalent LED system we will be able to calculate annual running costs and projected annual savings.
